Staying on top of my goals (Callie’s 90-day Challenge)

June has flown by, can you believe it?!

Have you been following The Viva Plan? It’s so exciting for me to be doing the last 30 days of my 90-day challenge, alongside the launch of Viva. The motivation is incredible!

I have truly stuck to the calendar, as we want to be sure the plan is do-able, fun and effective. Also, as someone who loves to make lists, being able to cross of the day’s task is extremely satisfying! I think this is part of why I’ve found this month more successful than the previous two! Breaking larger goals down into small, daily tasks is more effective than just saying to myself, I’m going to get more fit in 90 days.

Still, I will admit that it hasn’t been a walk in the park. In fact, some days it can be downright difficult to meet the day’s goal. Everyone has those days of “I don’t wanna…” and I am no different, as invested in this as I am!

While Viva has nutrition and fitness coaches on board to cheer you on, the fact is no one is truly holding you accountable. While Viva provides the workouts, meal ideas etc. it’s up to you to fit them into your day.

Here are a few things that have kept me motivated this month and can hopefully help you too:

Use social media to stay accountable. This is a big one for two reasons: The need for photos (to post on Viva’s Instagram, Facebook, etc.) falls to myself, Chris and some of the Dietitians at Revive, so for that reason alone I need to be doing the daily tasks. Secondly, by putting my goals out to my personal social media network, it’s a little harder to get away with not doing anything! Further, the immediate feedback and support you get on these platforms is encouraging.

If you don’t use social media, find a goal buddy.

Review goals daily. Writing down your goals helps you clarify what you want, while reviewing them keeps you focused.  I’ve also found that tracking my progress is easier this way, and can either be satisfying if I’ve achieved some of the goals or a kick in the butt to take more action!

Keeping this motto in the back of my mind also helps.
